Spiritually Homesteading | How to Lose Your Religion & Keep Your Jesus
Most faith podcasts will tell you what to believe. This one helps you figure out how to build.
Spiritually Homesteading exists for the spiritually curious, the quietly disillusioned, and the stubbornly hopeful. The people who got honest about their faith and ended up with more questions than answers. The ones who left the church, or stayed and felt alone in it. The ones who still feel something pulling them toward God but don't know what to do with that feeling anymore.
This podcast is not about de-converting. This is about what comes next: the slower, harder, more rewarding work of rebuilding a faith that actually belongs to you. Not inherited. Not performed. Not borrowed from someone else's certainty and rules.
Think of it like tending a homestead. Nothing grows overnight. Nothing grows without effort. But when you put your own hands in the soil and tend something with intention, it becomes yours in a way that nobody can take from you.
That's what we're building here. Episode by episode. Together.
If you've been hurt by the church but haven't lost your hunger for truth...Welcome home.

Many people today have complicated—sometimes painful—feelings about the Bible. If that’s you, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. For a long time, I hated the Bible. It felt like a weapon, one that had been used to control women, silence questions, and justify injustice. I wanted nothing to do with it. Let's talk about Bible trauma.

Whether it’s harmful theology, hypocrisy, or outright abuse, church hurt is real. And I get it—when a place that was supposed to offer healing ends up being the source of pain--the natural response is to walk away.
